If everything is made correctly, you have to go in user management and permit your login to see NTOP. NTOP tab is not viewable by default

Hello n3ncy,

do you know why i cannot create separate netflow analyzes ?

You wrote that a new pairs of port has to be created, but on the ntop tool i can set only ONE port.

.........................................................................................................
On admin -> Plugins -> Netflow -> on Flow Collection -> Local Collecor UDP Port
I can set only one port. So i will have on admin -> Switch NIC: my ethernet interface and only one netflow interface and i will still see all my remote netflow hosts in one table
.................................................................................................

Thanks

Hi friends, and i new in this forum and i nedd ypur help.

I installed Cacti (Ubuntu) last week and i have problmes with NTOP.
I did this:

1. Copy the folder Ntop in the path: usr/share/cacti/site/plugins
2. Add the line $plugins[] = 'ntop' ; in config.php(path usr/share/cacti/site/include/config.php)

I can see the tab NTOP but when i click in it, i get the message :
Unable to connect
Firefox cant establish a connection to server at locahost:3000

What i should do to fix it?

Thx for your help

Maybe
Something else :

( a option could be start the deamon, where i put the command ntop -d -W 3000 )in which path
o maybe the command: service ntop start (service orden no encontrada)
. The file ntop.conf cant find (no exitst)

Thx for your help

I have been running ntop along side cacti. It works fine. ntop has its own

webserver which runs on 3000 port. So, You have to just install ntop and

start ntop as a daemon. When you will click ntop plugin from cacti

everything should be fine.

I am having a problem with my NTOP setup I am currently only sending flows from one of my cisco routers to my cacti box. I only have one nic card in my box ands on one network and the router that is sending flows to it is on another network. If I go to the summary for page for traffic in the NTOP tab i only see the summary info. If I try to select hosts the page it blank. If i switch nic's to the eth0 of my linux box it lists all kinds of host. I need help on getting the hosts listed when i switch to the router nic. Any ideas? I need to see who my top talkers are.

Thanks
Dustin
