Is it possible for Cacti to allow everyone to view the graphs without login, but to use login to change settings?

The guest login is just the way to view graphs without login, but has access to the settings area. ^

I am confused when you say the "guest" account is used for that. So if you go to http://servername/cacti/
You will be prompted for a username and password in order to log in. I think yrral is asking if it is possible to view devices information without logging in at all.

Say you make a webpage that links to all your devices in cacti like

http://10.1.XX.X/cacti/graph_view.php?a ... leaf_id=87

when you click on that link it tries to take you to the exact page in cacti, but stops you because you have to log in.

*****EDIT EDIT EDIT EDIT******
nevermind.... I see now that in order for the guest account to work you have to have not deleted it, but also you have to go to http://10.1.XX.X/cacti/graph_view.php

I had deleted the guest account I guess when I first set it up. I added it back and the http://10.1.XX.X/cacti/graph_view.php
works now.

Hi. .this is still not working for me.. I have tried browsing to

http://mysite/graph_view.php

and it returns the login screen. I have tried enabling and disabling the guest account but no joy. All I want is for any random person to be able to browse to the site ??

any help welcome. Rick

The same with me... I'm using Cacti 0.8.7b and did the following to allow annonymous graph views:

- Settings -> Authentication -> Guest User: guest

The anonymous client wants to call

https://<my-server>/cacti/graph_view.php

but only gets a login page. Someone has a hint for me/us how to enable anonymous graph views?

I followed the instructions from http://docs.cacti.net/node/493 but had no success... I'm using the latest cacti-version...
