I just installed v.5.1 and following the Cacti Report Introduction pps on how to use this. I don't see a "Reports" link under Management, I only see a "Report Configurations". Also under Templates I see a "Report Templates". I've already updated the user permissions in the User Management, what am I missing?

Nothing, but the old PPP will mislead you.
Start creating a report template (Console->Report Templates: "Add"). You will find some examples in this thread.

eg.:
After that do not forget to unlock your new template and then create a new report configuration(Console->Report Configurations: "Add") based on it. Now most parts are simular to the PPP.

Andreas, thanks for fantastic plugin.
-
Thanks this topic, I have installed and setup it w/o problems.
I want to collect total traffic/bandwith usage from several switches. I'm not sure my "calculation formula".
At first I have setup daily reports like follow:
I have 2 measurands:
1. Sum-In-Out -> f_sum*step
2. Total -> TRAF:traffic_in+TRAF:traffic_out with Separate.
I have scheduled daily report, but every day old report is being overwritten by a new one.
What do I need to do to have reports collection?
I habe also second question:
Is it possible to have a additional variable for every switch-port (Data Items), something like: included/free traffic and setup 2 measurand :
TRAF:traffic_in+TRAF:traffic_out-free. If result is lower then 0 in report should be 0.
Best regards

Wojtek.

quick question - can we get the plugin to exclude "unknown" results in the RRA?

At the moment it is treating them as 0 which throws of my f_min report

Cheers

Hi Cacti Community!

Here it is: ReportIt v0.6.0!
Sorry, I know most of you are waiting for a new release since nearly 6 months.
As you can see below there are some new features available.
I replaced the old graphic class by "Graidle", but it stretched my nerves to get it stable. For the next time I'll concentrate on minor releases with a maximum of 2 new features to reduce the time of development.
Please take a look at the README file before installing this new version.

Best regards
-Andreas-

Update: I added some screenshots.

Code:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Version 0.6.0:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Feature:        Scheduled reports can be emailed to a defined list of recipients automatically
Feature:        Template configuration supports the definition of an alias for every internal data source
                description which should be displayed instead.
Feature:        Report configuration allows to define a template to configure new data items automatically
Feature:        Administrators (Power Users) can change the report owner
Feature:        Additional Filter "graph permission by device" supported
Feature:        Report configuration divided into differend segments (General, Email, Presets, Administration)
Feature:        New graphic module based on "Graidle" (cc_graph has been completely rewritten)
Feature:        Export format "XML" available
Feature:        Additional information per measurand can be displayed (sum, min, max, average)
Feature:        Filter field "Limit" added
Feature:        New search field allows to filter the report view
Feature:        Scheduled reports will be archived automatically
Bugfix(#00067): Guest user has no longer access to reporting functions without the correct realm ids
Bugfix(#00066): Changing a lot of cc_reports.php to get more compatible to Cacti's drawing functions
Bugfix(#00065): Report View: Default setting "Public" replaced by "My reports"
Bugfix(#00064): Caching error occurs if 2 or more measurands call the same function with
                a parameter (only f_xth(), f_dot(), f_sot() are affected)
Bugfix(#00063): Zack Bloom's "Advanced Graphing Class" has been replaced by "Graidle"
Bugfix(#00062): Graph Overiew will always end at 23:59:59 instead of 24:00:00,
                because the calculation changes nearly with every version of RRDtool
Bugfix(#00061): CSV Export file does not contain all variables
Bugfix(#00060): Time zone will be shown without beeing activated on a fresh installation of Cacti
Bugfix(#00058): Security check for export process is missing
Bugfix(#00057): Incorrect width displayed with Cacti 0.8.7 and above

Oops...!
Okay, edit cc_view.php and add at line 22 "$guest_account = true;", so that it looks like listed below:
Code:
chdir('../../');

$guest_account = true;

include_once('./include/auth.php');
include_once($config["base_path"] . '/plugins/reportit/lib_int/funct_validate.php');

Then it should work.

Best regards

OK I got a strange issue with I click on "Data Description ↑ ↓" of one of my reports I get a graph that is selected of a wrong time displayed.

Also the email tab is grayed out.

I can access it if I put email as the end of my url but the box is grayed out.

What ya think ?

hrmm now I don't see any reports when logging in as "guest"...

edit - I have had to manually change the ownership of all the reports to Guest for it to work properly ... not sure if this is a bug or new security measure!

Good morning tephra!
The guest can only select these reports which are defined as "public". Maybe it's confusing that I've changed the default setting of the drop down filter from "Public reports" to "My reports". My understanding of an guest user is that he's only able to view reports and nothing else. I always try to have consideration for suggestions, so how do you think about it?

Best regards

Hi chrisgapske!
The email tab should be active after you've enabled "Auto Generated Email" in section "Scheduled Reporting".
That you're able to access it calling a modified url and without having this setting activated signifies that you've found a backdoor (and I forgot to validate it) .
I don't see where the first issue is. Maybe I need a cup of coffee first and then I'll have to look at your screenshots again.

Best regards
