threshold breached sound notifcation

Hi,

Is it possible when a threshold is breached there will be sound notification. I have monitor plugin install elsewell and has sound notfication when a node is down. Can this be possible when a threshold is breached?

I don't really plan on doing this for the thold interface (which needs a redesign anyways). Monitor will currently show you if a thold is down, I guess I could have it alert on them too, but I don't think there is enough need for the feature.

thanks for your reply but this sound feature i think its good because your not all the time looking at the NMS thus a sound alert will notify you when there's something wrong. Anyway the software is great as it is already.

On second thought, I will add this, but will make it an option of the monitor plugin. I will let you select a different sound (or the same if you want) to play for broken thresholds.

Cigamit - would it be possible to have this issued as pre svn ? I could make use of this as well....

I am using the modified version found at cactiusers.org (the one with the hosts split into tree groups)

It can be, but without using the latest SVN of the Plugin Architecture also, you won't get very far (includes a new function)
