hi,

i'm sure my question has already been answered, but i can't find it anywhere

my servers are multi-cpu boxes, and the cpu load can be over 100% - the graphs are set to 100% max and cut data over this value. i know, and have updated the templates to use higher boundnaries, but how to update already existing rrds?

you have to use the rrdtool tune via command line
it should looks like

# rrdtool tune my_rrd_file.rrd --maximum cpu:200



you could also divide the load by the number of cpu of the box, this way you would always have a value between 0 and 100.
