Hello,
it would be fine to have a group-based usermanagement in cacti like this:
- admin can create groups.
- admin can give these groups rights/permissions/access to graphs/plugins/realms/etc.
- user gets his collection of rights/permissions/access in being a member of one or more groups.
- a user can be a groupadmin of his group to add/modify/delete other users within his group.
If you have many users and many hosts, it takes a lot of time to apply rights/permissions/access for every user to particular hosts. Editing users groupmembership would be much faster at a lower risk of errors. |

This form of groups along with other arbitrary groups is planned. It will be in Cacti 0.8.8 most likely.

This has not been fixed yet, but has been helped by allowing batch copies of a template user to a number of users that you select.
Check out the Development Roadmap at http://www.cacti.net/roadmap.php
Groups are coming in version 0.8.9 when the Plugin Architecture is included in the base of the Cacti code. |

No, Cacti doesn't support groups at the moment. You pretty much have to maintain each user. But, with batch copy in 0.8.7, you can make this task easier. |
