2.CCC.eu Cacti Community Conference, Nov. 17./18. 2007

We proudly announce the 2. European Cacti Community Conference, alias 2.CCC.eu. Again, it will be held at Bochum, Germany on November 17.+18. 2007. You may want to arrive on Friday, November 16th. Accomodation is offered at very reasonable prices by Linux Hotel, but this is by no means a commercial event.

Again, we hope that participants from all over Europe will attend. Last time, our guests came from UK, Belgium and Germany.

This invitation is targeted at all, who

know Cacti
support the principles of the open source software development
use Cacti in private or commercial context
are interested in using Cacti and/or want to deepen their knowledge
are developing software and are experienced in LAMP, WAMP and Cacti

Goal of the 2. Conference is,

casual discussion between attendees
to learn about projects of other attendees and to discuss them
to deepen experience related to central topics
to meet with at least one developer (the author of this thread ) and discuss goals of current development and the recently changed roadmap
to support social networking

It is not a goal to

use the results of the conference commercially
publishing or disclosure of confidential information of attendees
founding a commercial organisation

Currently, we are planning to divide into two tracks: A hands-on track on most interesting topics and another one related to discussions and solutions. We are accepting your ideas for both tracks. A raw list of topics will be posted soon.

Agenda of 2.CCC.eu:
The first Cacti Community Conference (CCC) was well attended and the lively discussion raised a number of topics which we wish to address in the 2.CCC.eu to promote continuity and achieve concrete results and proposals for the further development of Cacti.

The following track model illustrates the next conference roadmap. Each major track will have a dedicated anchorman, responsible for the continuity of his particular track and the summary and announcement of the results. The sessions will be selected and related to a WOrkgroup timeslot at the opening meeting to match the requirements of all participants.

During every Cacti conference workgroups are formed and discussed their selected topic. Each workgroup can decide about:

its own agenda
whether to set up new subtracks
terminate the track or go forward to the next conference
or play VII on the beamer wall
