Hi

I am using cacti for over a year now and did several updates (with no major problems)
Now I want to upgrade to 0.8.3a and the problem I have is that i cant afford to loose data ....
so is there a !!!!safe!!! way to update cacti to a new version??

or is it
possible to do a fresh install , configuring all hosts manually and then feeding the old data into the rrds <------ This is my favourite!!!

If somebody knows howto go the second way i would be very pleased...
(cause i can also update rh7.3 to 8.0 or so....)

Please help me
