I just upgraded from weathermap .82, and cannot edit any of my maps in the php editor. When clicking on a map to edit it I just get a blank screen.
I still get the weathermap tab in cacti and can view my maps in cacti.
I edited editor-config.php (see attached) as recommended, but am unsure of where I've gone wrong.
Can someone please show me the err of my ways? Thanks.
I'm using:
Cacti Version 0.8.6i
PHP Weathermap v0.93
Debian GNU/Linux 4.0

| You are missing the ?> from the end of that config file somehow... that would cause problems.

It's there actually, I just missed copying/pasting it in the notepad file.
Other than that, does the config look ok? I also tried using the full path to the configs folder, but no luck.

Yes, it looks fine. (I assume you missed off the last parameter too - the one about ignoring cacti errors).
What does your apache error log say? what does http://yourserver/plugins/weathermap/check.php say?

Yes, I did.
I have attached the check.php file. I now notice that not all the maps come up with a blank screen, a few come up with the source code when clicked. I've tried Firefox & IE, with the same results.

No, I meant what does it say in the browser! I know what the file looks like - I wrote it
If you are getting that source code in the browser, then it looks like PHP is not set up correctly on your server.

LOL. Yeah, I'm a n00b.
But why would I need to change my php settings when .82 worked perfectly on the same server?
I'll dig around to see what I can find.

I rolled back to .82 and everything works again. Puzzling.
I'm not sure where I'm going wrong; I'll backtrack and see what i can find.
Is it possible to use parallel links in .82?

Yes. Both curved and by using link-offsets were added in 0.8
Wierd about the new version though. Does the actual poller stuff work? Is it just the editor that's a problem?

Yeah, I could see the maps under the weathermap tab in cacti, that worked perfectly.
Is there a guide out on adding parallel links? Everytime I try to add one vertically the whole link disappears.
Thanks for all your help.

There's this:
http://www.network-weathermap.com/articles/parallel
Disappears? It's not that you are giving them the same name is it?

Don't think so. Maybe I'm over-complicating matters. Looking at some examples (thanks for the info!), I see the syntax for creating parallel links is:
LINK mylink
NODES node1:N node2:N
My question is, where am I getting the 'N' value from? Is it similar to adding curved links? Thanks in advance.

That means from the North of node1 to the North of node2. You can change the endpoints of a link away from the centre of the two nodes. You can either use compass-points (N,E,S,W,NE,SE,SW,NW) or pixel-offsets, for finer control.
It's in the command reference.
So for parallel links you would do something like link 1 from north to north, and link 2 from south to south but the same nodes, to get two parallel links that don't overlap.
