operate cacti behind a proxy

hi,

i have to operate Cacti behind a company proxy. the problem is
that my server will be included into the proxy URL like below:

external URL is:

https://www.company.com/dept/it/server01/cacti/

internal URL is:

http://server01/cacti

so the local server (server01) does not know anything about
the external path and have to handle any URL relative.

so far as I can see it is not possible to work with relative
pathes without much changes in the source code.

does anybody have a quick solution for me ?
