API documentation for api_plugin_user_realm_auth ?

1st question: Anyone has an idea how that function works ?

It seems to have changed during the API life. the pre 2.x version seemed to return the actaul realm id, whereas the 2.x version just returns "true" or "false".

2nd question: Is the manually set Plugin RealmID actually used anymore ?

Seems like that changed too, PIA 2.x seems to automatically assign realm ids to the plugins, hence the change in the above mentioned function ... ?

I think that this all is made what to leave from rigid instruction Realm_id and possible mess.
One more remark api_plugin_register_realm is processed only at installation of a plugin. I.e. for change of the rights to files it is necessary to reinstall a plugin (with removal of tables)
