|
I am looking for a template that will allow me to monitor SQL 2000 and 2005 maintenance plan backups. I would need a e-mail when failure would occur.
Right now I am running a Unix freebsd VM with Cacti 0.8.6j. But I can rebuild it on another server / OS as needed.
Thanks |

What are you looking for in the template?
I'm working on a script right now for monitoring SQL from a linux box, but I don't see any values related maintenance plans. |

| When the SQL database is backed up, I want a alert if it fails. |

| There's nothing I can find in SNMP, since they took SNMP out of SQL 2005 to get that data, and there's nothing in performance counters. You might be SOL for this. Isn't there a setting in the SQL server itself to notify of this? |
