Hi,

i've installed cacti with cacti manual.

- Windows XP
- running poller.php as a scheduled task every 5 minutes

I don't get any graphs of devices i've created. The SNMP connect should be ok because i got these infomation after device creation:

SNMP Information
System: Enterasys Networks, Inc. B2G124-48 Rev 04.01.02.0007
Uptime: 533426500 (61 days, 17 hours, 44 minutes)
Hostname: ******
Location: *****
Contact: *******

In the cacti log file I can find the following:

... and so on.

Has anyone an idea, where I can also also look for error logs ?
Or may be there is a failure with poller.php ?

Thanks for your help.

you sure its scheduled every 5 min? The poller seems to be executing every 10 min (per the log file). The cacti.log file DOES contain errors, which you already seen/posted. Changing the logging level to debug will reveal more details about what is going on.

You didn't follow the installation guide. You installed php and apache in paths which contain spaces. This is not allowed.

Thanks for the info, now i've installed apache and php new. Now the paths not contain spaces.
cacti is running, i created a new device. the snmp connect seems also be fine, because i got main snmp data on creation of device. i created a graph (if-utilization of switch) ... but one our later no graph is showing - i got a "red cross". (same problem)
In cacti log i got now only "CMDPHP: Poller[0] DEBUG: SQL " messages - are they necessary for further trouble shooting ?

typically one doesnt care about the debug sql messages. Although other entries in the log file will possibly tell you why your graphs are blank (no data collected, rrdfiles not created, device down, etc).

When you turn on graph debugging, what is the error which rrdtool reports?

When I turn on graph debugging I got the following:

RRDTool Command:

C:/Programme/rrdtool/rrdtool.exe graph - \
--imgformat=PNG \
--start=-86400 \
--end=-300 \
--title="switch - Traffic - |query_ifName|" \
--rigid \
--base=1000 \
--height=120 \
--width=500 \
--alt-autoscale-max \
--lower-limit=0 \
--vertical-label="bits per second" \
DEF:a="C\:/Programme/Apache/Apache2.2/htdocs/cacti/rra/switch_traffic_in_8.rrd":traffic_in:AVERAGE \
DEF:b="C\:/Programme/Apache/Apache2.2/htdocs/cacti/rra/switch_traffic_in_8.rrd":traffic_out:AVERAGE \
CDEF:cdefa=a,8,* \
CDEF:cdefe=b,8,* \
AREA:cdefa#00CF00:"Inbound" \
GPRINT:cdefa:LAST:" Current\:%8.2lf %s" \
GPRINT:cdefa:AVERAGE:"Average\:%8.2lf %s" \
GPRINT:cdefa:MAX:"Maximum\:%8.2lf %s\n" \
LINE1:cdefe#002A97:"Outbound" \
GPRINT:cdefe:LAST:"Current\:%8.2lf %s" \
GPRINT:cdefe:AVERAGE:"Average\:%8.2lf %s" \
GPRINT:cdefe:MAX:"Maximum\:%8.2lf %s"

RRDTool Says:

ERROR: opening 'C:/Programme/Apache/Apache2.2/htdocs/cacti/rra/switch_traffic_in_8.rrd': No such file or directory
