If thats all running and the host is still "down", you have to change the way cacti verifies the sonicwall is alive in the cacti settings. |
I had to enable SNMP traffic on the lan side...
Still having issues with the graph drawing.. |

| Well the graph might take 5-10 minutes to start drawing. If not, you could delete the associated data sources and recreate them. |

No.. running SonicOS Enhanced 3.1.0.12-46e
I might have to upgrade, though I get the feeling that this is a cacti related issue. Sadly I'm not a perl or script wizard. So I have to hammer my way thru.. |

| You have to upgrade to 3.2.x.x for it to work correctly. I had the same issue.. took 5 minutes.. though i dont know if you can disconnect people while you do it. |

Yes it's listed as "up"
I think i'll let it sit the 10 mins and try to draw. And if no go, start over..Grrrrr
thing is cacti at least graphed the charts on the localhost right after it was set up. Granted it took a bit for data to stream in. |

oh didnt see your last question. I didnt have any issues with the upgrade.. smooth as a babies behind, infact one of the smoothest i have had with sonicwall in the 5 years i have been using them.
Keep in mind, i have a 3060, not a 4060. |

Firmware upgrade went fine. but still no graph.
I get a "This data query returned 0 rows, perhaps there was a problem executing this data query. You can run this data query in debug mode to get more information."
in the Data Query [Script - Sonicwall VPN] section when i try to create a graph.
If I run the query in debug mode here is the output:
Data Query Debug Information
+ Running data query [11].
+ Found type = '4 '[script query].
+ Found data query XML file at 'c:/Inetpub/wwwroot/cacti/resource/script_queries/sonicwall_vpn.xml'

I think the script might be holding things up in regards to the graping. If i go to the the device page, in the Associated Graph Templates, you see 3 graphs:
1) Sonicwall Connection Cache
2) Sonicwall CPU Usage
3) Sonicwall Memory Useage
If you click edit you can see the graph. So i think the script it bombing for the vpn connection and that is causing the graphing page not to display?
Maybe maybe not.. |

I have 3 associated graph templates and 2 associated data queries. The Sonicwall VPN xml script is a data query.
You should get graphs for connection, cpu, memory and vpn.
My debug for the vpn looks like:
| Code: | Data Query Debug Information
+ Running data query [11].
+ Found type = '4 '[script query].
+ Found data query XML file at '/webs/cacti/resource/script_queries/sonicwall_vpn.xml'
+ XML file parsed ok.
+ Executing script for list of indexes 'perl /webs/cacti/scripts/query_sonicwall_vpn.pl Sonicwall public index'
+ Executing script query 'perl /webs/cacti/scripts/query_sonicwall_vpn.pl Sonicwall public query peergateway'
+ Found item [swPeerGateway='xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx'] index: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
+ Executing script query 'perl /webs/cacti/scripts/query_sonicwall_vpn.pl Sonicwall public query vpnname'
+ Found item [swVPNName='UF'] index: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
+ Found data query XML file at '/webs/cacti/resource/script_queries/sonicwall_vpn.xml'
+ Found data query XML file at '/webs/cacti/resource/script_queries/sonicwall_vpn.xml'
+ Found data query XML file at '/webs/cacti/resource/script_queries/sonicwall_vpn.xml'

Our look very close...
But you have a line item that states:
+ Found item [swVPNName='UF'] index: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
Seems to be missing from mine. |

| Man this really sucks. The other sonicwall graphs are working under the edit link in devices. But it does not write the graps on the graph page. I imagine it's the VPN graph issues that is preventing that. |
