there's a way to run only cactid? without cacti installed?
What i need to know is if cactid need something other further mysql...
...and if it's so (i think that it need snmp and/or various script that catch stats from host) where can i configure its behaviour?
There's some documentation about it and its functionalities?

If you are getting at having the poller on a different box, that is planned for 0.8.7. I would suggest that you just sit tight until then.

It can be downloaded at any time using CVS. We have disabled the beta directory update until such time that it is more stable. We are making rather significant changes right now. No guarentees. I would not use it for anything production at the moment.
With regard to multiple pollers and standalone CACTID, I have only done the plumbing on the new database design. I have not begun the implementation including the revision of cactid calling parameters and many changes within the code.

Ok...it's not so urgent for me..."urgent"? eheh
btw...thank you
I think that a standalone cactid can make many people happy...in fact i think that many people have only one web server and many host to monitor
...so go on your way...this is a good project |
