Hi Guys,
I want to monitor my ISP bandwidth as my sip phone keeps de-registering randomly and I think it is down to outages from my ISP. Does anyone have a template to monitor ISP bandwidth please.
I know there is a bandwidth template in cacti but this is a host usage monitor not an ISP banwidth availability template.
I would appreciate any help you could give me.
Regards,

Hi,
Monitor bandwidth means monitor a host interface.
i.e: WAN interface of your ISP's router. |

Hi Kro
thanks for replying, I installed Cacti literally 15 mins before I posted this initial message hence my lack of experience.
I have used speedtest.net to guage bandwidth as a one off test in the past and I presumed that this test used the timing of a file transfer to guage bandwidth so please bare with me when I ask you some potentially dumb questions.
I go to add devices in Cacti however my localhost is recognised but not my router. To be fair I have a strange setup as I have a microwave aerial with a POE switch however the dish is the router
should I use the bandwidth template with my localhost interface
Thanks for your time in advance
