Hello @ all,

i don't know what i can do. mactrack_scanner.php doesn't save data in mysql. Mactrack can read IPs at devices, but the datebase is emty. You can see it at the screenshots.

No, i can't see a entry. Please have a look at the attachments.

In the mysql database also i can't see a entry.
I think cacti mactrack cannot write in Database?!?

The next Problem is to add a vendor mac. When i click add, the site make a refresh...
...and it's nothing to do. I can see the same site?!?

Hello

I have a similar proble with MacTrack :/

The device already exist in MacTrack and the scann issue is OK.
But the displayed informations are funny...

For a device I have more interfaces results displayed than the switch have, because an interface is displayes many times, with the same IP address (for the switch interface) but with differents Mac address.

In the MySQL DB, I don't have client IP address (mac_track_ips table).

Someone know this problem?

My screenshot llustrates my problem

No need to bump your own post so soon after posting it.

It looks as though you don't have a Router paired up with your switch, as I believe is stated in the Mactrack documentation.

What do you mean by 'Router paired with your switch'? I have the same problem (After working around the device type problems).

What I've noticed is that the code is always setting the type back to Switch/Hub when I set either Switch/Router or Router. And although the number of User Ports is around 300, it lists 0 as being Up.

Still poking around to see how it determines up/not up... And why it's resetting the device type....

Ah! Penny drops... The device_types table differentiate between a 6509 as a pure switch and a 6509 with a routing module in it... And the device_types type is copied back to the devices device_type...

Hmm... Might require some thought...

Hey!. Mine now works... If I specify something other than the default search parameters in the MacTrack report view page...

I don't understand what 'Authorising' an IP/Mac does though... The Wiki doens't seem to say anything about that...
