In case anyone is interested, I have a patch that modifies Weathermap to use a SQL database instead of flat file config files, and also links to the editor for the config files directly from the management page. You can also create config files directly from the management page, instead of having to goto the editor. This makes it quite a bit more user friendly for Cacti Users.

I didnt notice that I made the changes to v0.91 instead of v0.92, so I will have to make sure everything works the same way there.

Hi Cigamit,
very good idea, MySQL with a seperate weathermap table structure is the best place for all config options and arguments. Please publish your patch here and start a open disussion about it, also with Howie and Fmangeant of course. Don't start a patching race for plugins. Security vulnerablities of Cacti should be the only reasonable objective for patches.
Best regards

As long as it doesn't break things for non-Cacti users, CLI users and so on...

You should know me, it may be a hack, but it will be a first rate one, with configurable options for everything.
