|

Howie,
I may have to do a complete re-install, but thought I would run this by the community.
After installing the 0.93, and now the nodes appear after changing the memory size in PHP.INI to 16MB
When I launch the editor, it lets me create a new node on the map, but none of the nodes will let me edit them. That new node, cannot be changed either, it just stays on the map as node.
I can click on them till I am dizzy, and nothing happens, no pop-ups.
I made sure the configs and output have the same permissions and writes as previously.
Any ideas, or shall I start fresh.? |

I don't see that reinstalling will make any difference.
If it adds the node correctly, then permissions are OK too.
When you click on it, nothing happens? Does your browser have a javascript error console (and if it does, does it show any errors)? What browser/OS is it?
If you happen to have the editor.js from 0.92 and the editor.php from 0.93, then weird things like this might happen, come to think... worth checking that all the files in the zip actually overwrote their predecessors.
If it's that type of problem then maybe a wipe and reinstall might help after all. Oh the shame - I've become Windows |

LOL....
It is Ubuntu for the weathermap server
I am using Windows XP, with Firefox. works great with 0.92 though.
Oct 11 07:27:55: MOVEitWizardApplet::init called; Java version 1.6.0_02
Oct 11 07:27:55: MOVEitWizardApplet::start called for os.name='Windows XP'
Oct 11 07:27:55: Called SetJavaReady OK
Oct 11 07:27:56: java.version: 1.6.0_02 OK=true
Oct 11 07:27:56: java.version: 1.6.0_02 OK=true
no errors.

That above is the link for the single node that was created. no amount of clicking will allow editing of the element.
I am off to delete and reload stuff on the Ubuntu session. |

You reinstalled Weathermap? or Cacti? or Ubuntu?
Hopefully not more than Weathermap... |

Howie,
I believe I found the problem.
I run Firefox - and with the current version of FF, I cannot open the node on the map editor.
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.7) Gecko/20070914 Firefox/2.0.0.7
Running I.E. works just fine with the map editor.
Version 6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2_gdr.070227-2254
Will look to see if it is a setting in FF, but did not make any security changes to my FF. |

Most of my testing is with Firefox, so that's pretty surprising. If you really want to get into it, installing the Firebug extension from www.getfirebug.com will give you a bit more information about what's going on in case there's an error. |
