Hi all,

I'm trying to graph the amount of spam being rejected by my mail server. Everything is working well except that as the data gets consolidated I'd like to have the sum of all values for the period recorded rather than an average or maximum. At the RRDtool site (http://oss.oetiker.ch/rrdtool/doc/rrdtool.en.html) there is mention of a "total" consolidation function which looks to be what I need but it doesn't seem to be configurable in Cacti. Can anyone tell if why it's not in Cacti or if there is a way to use it?

Any help is much appreciated!

Hi,

I am a french developper and I try using Cacti and RRDTool to monitor systems and try to forsee problems.

I have the same question because one important use would be to have, on the same graph, a drawing made from the values of the day and a drawing made from the value of a day consolidated from a week, a month or even a year.
I cannot see how I can do it (or even if it is doable).

Could you help me ?

Thanks,

Nicolas.

PS : Sorry for my unperfect English.

I fear there's a mis-understanding. There is no TOTAL cf in rrdtool. What are you aiming at? Please elaborate
