Hi.

I'm trying to update settings of a "Device" using Firefox 3 on Linux. When I click on the "Save" button on http://$cacti_server/cacti/host.php?action=edit&id=3, I get an error message:

Error: Passwords do not match, please retype.

On this device, I'm using SNMP version 1.

What's broken there?

Thanks,
Michael

Oh, sorry for creating a dupe. I just found http://forums.cacti.net/viewtopic.php?t=24765&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=Error%3A+Passwords++match%2C+please+retype&start=15

To my excuse I'd like to say, that I didn't find it directly, because the Search functionality of the board seems to be severely broken…

Quite often when I do a search using the Forums search page, I get:

Could not insert search results

DEBUG MODE

SQL Error : 1062 Duplicate entry '1937356914' for key 1

INSERT INTO search_results (search_id, session_id, search_time, search_array) VALUES(1937356914, '9a84f018edf84aa5abbeeda84483fb5f', 1226322592, 'a:7:{s:14:"search_results";s:63162:"3, 4, 8, 12, 17, 22, 24, 25, 26, 28, 30, 32, 35, 36, 39, 40, 41, 46, 51, 52, 53, 55, 58, 62, 68, 72, 73, 76, 81, 82, 85, 86, 90, 92, 96, 99, 103, 105, 106, 109, […]

That makes searching really hard :/

Forwarded the forum bug to server admins.
Goggling using "site:forums.cacti.net" is a good workaround

Hi.

Thanks I already did that, though. I sent a PM to a Forum Admin before I posted here. Haven't heard back, though… :/

Cheers,
Michael

The dup entry "bug" is a timeout when editing takes too long ...
It hits me only on very rare occasions, to be honest

This is a different duplicate entry error to do with searching - I have been getting it for the last few weeks too, about 1 in 4 times when I hit the 'since you last visited' link. Sometimes a reload fixes it, sometimes I go away and do real work for a while.

Tony indicated that we need to perform a database repair. Mantis is misbehaving as well. He and Tony should get to in the next few days.
