Has anyone come up with a template for the Dell M1000e blade chassis?

I've emailed Dell support asking for a mib file, but haven't received one yet.

I've been doing a *very* brief research: since the M1000e belongs to the PowerEdge line and apparently supports OpenManage, I *believe* the following applies to your case. YMMV.

I've emailed Dell support asking for a mib file, but haven't received one yet.

MIB files are installed alongside OpenManage Server Administrator. Look inside the program directory for files with the following names:
    10892.mib (Systems Management Instrumentation MIB)
dcs3fru.mib (Systems Management Field Replaceable Unit (FRU) MIB)
dcs3rmt.mib (Server Administrator Remote Access MIB for Server3 MIB Branch)
dcstorag.mib (Dell OpenManage Storage Management SNMP interface)
Better yet, look for *.mib (your installation could differ from mine).
I haven't checked for lack of time, but I'm inclined to think I can't attach them here due to licensing constraints.

Next best thing: Dell OpenManage Server Administrator 5.5 SNMP Reference Guide ( http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/software/svradmin/5.5/en/SNMP/pdf/OMSA5.5MR.pdf )
Highly recommended to anyone "playing" in this field, even if you have the MIB files. It *explains* whole MIBs, OID for OID and table for table.
If you climb up to Dell OpenManage Server Administrator ( http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/software/svradmin/ ), you find other versions, other languages and other manuals, both online and offline, in PDF, HTML and text format.

Climbing up to the next step is a little trickier: Read product documentation, manuals, specifications, and installation guides ( http://support.dell.com/support/systemsinfo/documentation.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen&~subcat=111&~cat=6 )

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the link to the SNMP Reference Guide, I've not read that yet so it'll be a big help.

Hey, hey, look what I found!
Apparently, a whole series of MIB files is published on an FTP site of Dell's: ftp://ftp.us.dell.com/sysman/
Look for the files DCMIB55.exe and DCMIB55R.exe, the "55" referring to OpenManager Server Administrator 5.5. Older series are available as well: DCMIB54.exe, DCMIB53.exe...
They're self-extracting ZIP archives containing the following:

10892.mib: Provides detailed information about the systems monitored by Server Administrator instrumentation software. The 10892.mib is the primary MIB for PowerEdge systems.

adptinfo.mib: Provides information about Broadcom Gigabit network adapters.

baspCfg.mib, baspStat.mib, baspTrap.mib: Collectively these MIBs provide detailed information about Broadcom Gigabit network adapters.

DcAsfSrv.mib: Specifies formatting for Dell server Platform Event Traps generated by the Baseboard Management Controller

dcs3rmt.mib: Provides detailed information about the remote access components monitored by the Server Administrator Remote Access Service.

dcs3fru.mib: Provides detailed information about system Field Replaceable Unit(FRU) to SNMP management applications.

dcstorag.mib: Provides detailed information about the storage hardware components and RAID configurations monitored by Server Administrator.

dellcm.mib: Provides detailed information about the change management data monitored by the Server Administrator Update Service.

INTELLAN.mib: Provides detailed information about the Intel(R) PRO 100S, PRO 1000xT, PRO 100+ Dual Port, and PRO 1000F NIC adapters.

ITassist.mib: Provides definitions for traps sent by IT Assistant.

rac_host.mib: Provides detailed information about the components monitored by the remote access out-of-band software agent.

readme_mibs.txt: the descriptions above and more.

I keen to get my hands on M1000e/M600 templates too, and can do testing if anyone here writing one requires it!
