As like many people, I can't wait for the snmpv3 portions of cacti to become released. I'm running the CVS code, which as we all know is not really a great thing to do.
With that in mind, I'm debating rolling a new CVS version...but I wanted to know when 0.8.7 would be code complete and into alpha?
If there are specific components which need completion, and I have some time and the expertise, perhaps we could get a list of stuff people should submit patches for to get us to 0.8.7.
Thanks for the insight! Just trying to save myself some time.
Cacti kicks butt!!!! |

Um...
Well, we have been tied up with a security release of 0.8.6 that is coming out this week late or next week early.
As for 0.9.0, formally 0.8.7, we change the version, because of the amount of changes. The whole template system has been redone and the database has extensive changes to support this. Not to mention the whole API system we are developing so it makes it easier for people to write add-ons. There are lots of changes, all of them good.
Our original release date was suppose to be end of summer. But I feel that we will be pushed out a bit. We have been occupied by other tasks. No to mention, you know it's summer, right.. |
