new comer, first post.

I made some data templates and graph templates to collect data from Qmail using SNMP. It's really useful if your cacti and mail server are not in the same box like my problem.
It's still "raw" but works for me.

Basically it's just make your own MIB because Qmail does not (yet ?) support SNMP natively. And feed those MIB from some parsing log scripts (I'm using qmailmrtg7 from inter7).

To make it easier, I've made an xml file for everything you need (only tested on cacti-0.8.5). Before importing this xml, you really have to read the readme file.

BTW, I named it QmailStats (it's inspired by another xxxStats from Rolf Poser

Thx

here is the modification I made.
it's not much. I just changed the output format of the original scripts.

And the xml file included is some bugfixes of QmailStats.

what version of cacti you use?
You should use cacti-0.8.5a.

The template has only been tested on that version.

sorry, it didn't come from your script, but from the config_arrays bug in 0.8.5a

however, is it possible to have your script working with a "normal" qmail installation (not the one from lifewithqmail.com) ?
i tried to play with the log paths but without success, graphs are empty
thanks

your tweaking is to "make it work for normal qmail instalation" ?
Great tweaking.

You meant colors and comment on the graph ?
You can change it through Graph Templates.

BTW, Recently I found XML that can not be imported to cacti. Where can I found about "config_arrays bug in 0.8.5a" you mentioned before ?

well it wasn't that hard, i basically just had to change some paths and remove some others (clamd and spamd, can't find the logs though they must be somewhere) in the snmpd.conf on the qmail box (freebsd 4.9).

i did not have a look a the graph templates, i'll check this later, thanks.

for the import bug, i found the solution in this thread:
http://www.raxnet.net/board/viewtopic.php?t=3671

i edited config_arrays as explained in some of the posts and it works fine now

How can I configure that ?
