OK, everything should be running correctly on my Redhat 8 system, but I get the following whenever I try to issue any commands to snmpwalk:

snmpwalk: No securityName specified

Tried adding a user in the /var/net-snmp/snmpd.conf file and restarted snmpd -- that seemed to work as the username went away, but snmpwalk won't accept a username.

Running NET-SNMP version: 5.0.6.

Isn't this just an issue I should be having with SNMP v3?

Anyone know what might be wrong?

Depending on your compilation options v3 may be a default for snmpwalk. Also such default mode can be set in snmp.conf (not snmpd.conf). Try to use snmpwalk wit "-v1" or "-v2c" and compare the results.
