When I use mrtg to monitor my switches, I get nice graphs. Now that I am moving to cacti, I don't seem to be able to get any data. The error message is .1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.16.0 Index out of range: 0 (ifIndex).

I assume the last 0 is confusing cacti.

When I provided cacti with the ip and community of the switch, it gives me back the 24 individual ports, the backplace interfaces, but they all have the interface Number of 0.

How do I get cacti to correctly identify the individual ports on the switch?

The switches are made by Cabletron/Entrasys.

Thanks
