|
|
I installed cacti 08 nightly release a few hours ago and have ran into a loop. Currently on the same machine that I installed this version on I am running cacti 068a with no problems. I have verified that my settings are set correctly in php.ini. Both register_globals and register_argc_argv are set to ON.
An odd thing did occur after I did a shut down/start on both services for apache and mysql. In addition to my loop, I am now seeing that when I get to the screen that defines the paths to executables I get the [NOT FOUND] message for required binaries. The paths indicated within the text boxes are correct.
Any insights or leads would be very much appreciated.
System Info:
FreeBSD - 4.6.2
MySQL - 3.23.49
PHP - 4.2.1
Cacti - 06.8a (active) |

I believe you're describing the same thing that I'm experiencing:
Go to the URL, it shows the Cacti Installation Guide screen with the license.
Click Next, and it gives you the choice of a New Install, or upgrade.
Click Next, it asks for paths to executables. Mine shows "Not Found" for both snmpwalk and snmpget, even though the paths are valid.
Click Finish, and it returns to the Cacti Installation Screen, thus starting over. But it seems to remember any changes I made to the paths.
I am also running Cacti 0.6.8 on this same server.
My system info:
RH Linux - 8.0 - Custom Apache/php/mod_perl install
MySQL - 3.23.55
PHP - 4.3.0
ucd-snmp - 4.2.3
ucd-snmp was installed from the rpm's available on sourceforge.
Guess I'll try tomorrow's release. :) |

Update: The release dated the 25th does not seem to have this problem. |
