I'm attempting to get the current SVN snapshot of Cacti Working on my Solaris 9 server.

The base config is:
Solaris 9
Apache/2.0.54 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.0.54 OpenSSL/0.9.7g DAV/2 PHP/5.0.4 mod_fastcgi/mod_fastcgi-SNAP-0404142202 Server
MySQL 5.0.15 Max running on a seperate host.
Cacti BRANCH from Dec 9 2005.

I've tested the connection to the database and am able to log in as the cactiuser w/ the password. However, when I browse to cacti, all I get is a blank HTML page.

In the apache logs, I see:
[Fri Dec 09 16:51:37 2005] [notice] child pid 29355 exit signal Segmentation fault (11)

Any ideas? Can I provide any additional information?

Thanks,
Mark

Which SVN snapshot did you use? Trunk or Branch?

0.9.0 development is in Trunk, 0.8.6 is in Branch.

0.9.0 is very buggy....

0.8.6h, which is in Branch, is stable and has some minor updates left before release. I suggest you try this one.

I used the 0.8.6 version from:
cacti/branches/BRANCH_0_8_6

No idea why you are getting a segmentation fault, try disabling fastcgi.

I've been getting a segfault as well, and I traced it down to the fact that my mysql stuff was not setup before hand like I thought it was.

I've disabled fast cgi and it's still segfaulting when i try to load cacti...

Let me try updating to the current version of php and keep poking around.
