Win2k
Apache 1.3.22 for win32
mysql distro 3.23.54 for i32
php 4.2.3
cacti 0.6.8a
internet exploder 5.5

Everything seems to be working fine, with the exception of progressing beyond the first page generated by install.php. When I click "Next," it simply reloads the page.

Has anyone else experienced this issue?

Thanks

When in doubt, restart the apache service. And away we go...

I'm currently on RH 7.3, but am also seeing the exact problem you describe. I haven't found a way around it yet.

Hello,

Have you set this option in the php.ini file?
register_globals = On

Yes, I had set all the options as described. I ended up doing a re-install of php and of apache, as someone else suggested. That worked, can't say why though.

I'm stuck in the same place. Is there anything else I can do other than a complete reinstall of Apache and PHP? The only file I modified in Apache was httpd.conf. I followed the instructions to the letter.

***UPDATE***
I found the problem. I inadvertantly put the php.ini file in the C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32 directory instead of the C:\WINDOWS directory. (WinXP Pro) Moving the php.ini filed fixed the problem.
