Hi,
I've been using 0.6.8a for some time, works very well (on W2K).
Great job Ian & all other contributors.
I'm looking to 0.8 which is a giant leap forward! Absolutely cool!
The problem is that I can't find my way around in getting something drawn..
I understand the concepts from the 0.6.8a release, but in this release I'm bazzled with the options, the other way of working...
Does anyone has some documentation on this ? I just need 1 example to catch it ...
I appreciate your efforts! |

Is there something specific you are trying to do, but are having trouble with? I must admit that I have been putting off writing a manual for 0.8 amongst other development tasks, but I am going to write one over the next few days.
I need to add more sub-sections, but here is a start:

Hi Ian,
Well, with 0.6.8a the idea was straightforward, create the DS (using standard/customer data input ; snmp, scripts, whatever) and create a Graph of this
But on 0.8, I'm seeing all this cool new stuff
- I have a some MAX TNT's (access servers) that I want to monitor for example "used modems" , "free modems" , "failed modems"
With 0.6.8a, I have to create 1 DS PER SNMP OID, this resulted in lot's of work
Now with the templates, I guess I can produce some templates like "NAS Free Modems" , "NAS Busy Modems" , "NAS Failed Modems" , ... and later "hook" them onto a polling host ?
-The "Data Queries" are the actual OID's (or something else) that I could extract from a host ? I confuse this with Data Templates...
- Graph templates & Host templates is kinsa clear to me, CDEF's etc also (previous version)
I'll be checking out some of the docs beeing introduced... It's common that documentation is created last
Thanks & best regards,
Jan |

Is the TOC the start? None of the links seem to work. |
