I just upgraded a barely-installed 8.0 to 8.1.

Now, my rrds/logs no longer update via cron or manually.
Running cmd.php manually, I get the following error:

php: relocation error: /usr/lib/php4/snmp.so: undefined symbol: sprint_value

Any ideas? It used to work just dandy.
(yes, /rra/* & /log/* are both chmod 777 right now...)

Thanks!

Such error was present in RedHat 8 and it was not resolved. Why it was working befer the upgrade? Maybe you had internal php snmp support turned off before the upgrade (in include/config.php) and after the change it started using internal support again?

I found the bug reports. What was the resolution for RH 8.0 users to get around this? Would switching to UCD-SNMP bypass the bug?

Thanks.

I'm affraid it has not been resolved in RH8 (RH9 does not have this problem). There was some experimental patch mentioned here:

Thank you very much for the info.

I'll probably upgrade to RH9.
