hi,

i'm not sure if other people have run into this problem before but it seems that specifying the rrdtool font path isn't an option with 1.2.x and above. i noticed that if i left the font path blank then even though the graph debug mentioned "ok" i was still getting no graphs. when i put in "c:\windows\fonts\arial.ttf" and save the settings then the graphs showed up.

can we modify the default windows installation document for cacti and mention that the font path for rrdtool 1.2.X isn't optional.

it took me forever to figure out this issue because even in the cacti logs (in debug) i didn't see any mention.

in the future could the font path description mention that with rrdtool 1.2.X the font path is mandatory?

Regards,

Dave

I've already suggested to Rony that cacti picks a default font for a new installation, he didn't agree.

Anyways the installation guide in my signature / sticky in forum tells you to use a font path.

granted, it's in your guide, but that isn't the one on the documentation website. i suggest that the document be updated if possible. maybe you could add in a couple tips at the end, i know you have a faqs section.

Thanks,

Dave
