1. Configure cacti and poller to log messages to sys/eventlog.check attached image 1.

2. Now run on c:/winnt/system32/evntwin.exe image 2

3. Now configure click on edit and configure as snapshot after you are done click ok image 3.

4. Now go in services and select SNMP service now configure trap receiver. image 4.

5.ALso configure threshold also to log messages to syslog.Image 5

Now you should be able to receive traps in case host goes down/threshold is breached
