|
|
I wrote this perl script to get the motherboard (MB) temperature and the backplane (BP) temperature from our Dell PowerEdge 2650s.
I'm a first time user of Cacti, so enjoy.
Perl script takes two parameters, <hostname> and <snmp_community>

Forgot to mention you must have the Dell Open Manage Server Administrator (OMSA) software installed on your Dell machines to retrieve these values.
The newest version of OMSA (3.8 or newer I believe) also has performance data in the WMI including redundancy status on applicable hardware.

When trying to import the graph xml document into cacti 0.8.6d, I get XML parse error.
Any reasons why?

Judging from the data of the original post, I would guess a export/version problem.
But then I'm still learning...

| Has anyone got the Dell OpenManage Server software that works on Debian, it seems from looking at the Dell site that it is only supported on Windows, and Red Hat which I have to say that find amazing.....

ernieek,
It'll be whatever community key you've given the server.. generally.. this is "public"
