Hello all,
I am not new to cacti, in fact, i have installed it for a client and it has been working for about one and half yrs now.
I have a PHP application that writes a script that handles bandwidth management. I hope some of u guys are familiar with 'tc' (a linux tool that is used for traffic control).Let me write a bit on 'tc'. It is used for traffic control in Unix/Linux and u can use it to generate a shell script and will run anytime the linux system boots. In order to make it simple for users to edit this script, i got someone to develop a PHP app that does the editing for them.
Now the issue is this, because of the closeness between network monitoring (cacti) and traffic control, i would like to integrate my tc web app into cacti.
I know that there a lot of stuff already written about plugins and plugin integration, i would like to be guided.
Thanx in anticipation of a favourable reply. |

Oh, my. Plugin documentation is sub-optimal ATM. Some bits are found at http://cactiusers.org, but most is not up-to-date. It should be enough to get the idea, but it's no complete API description.
While integrating PIA into cacti 088, documentation of PIA will be required within this year
