It is implemented in 088.
Currently, there are no plans to backport this to 087(h)

Thanks for the answer gandalf.

My company I am working for would like to use version 0.88 because of the new skin and some functions e.g VDEF. Therefor they would provide some developers to push the development of cacti a little bit.
For this reason it would be nice if we could get some documentation stuff like some kind of ERD diagramms of the database or something else which shows the structure. Also some kind of list or roadmap of work/bugs which must be done before the release 0.88 would be helpful.

Hello,

I used spine 0.8.7h (with boost) and I've those errors :

07/22/2011 06:35:04 PM - SPINE: Poller[0] ERROR: Spine Timed Out While Processing Hosts Internal
07/22/2011 06:35:00 PM - POLLER: Poller[0] WARNING: There are '1' detected as overrunning a polling process, please investigate
07/22/2011 06:35:00 PM - SYSTEM STATS: Time:298.7764 Method:spine Processes:1 Threads:20 Hosts:506 HostsPerProcess:506 DataSources:122681 RRDsProcessed:0
07/22/2011 06:35:00 PM - POLLER: Poller[0] Maximum runtime of 298 seconds exceeded. Exiting.

how can I solved it ?

[Update] I've done a restart mysql + apache, and now I've only this :

07/22/2011 09:54:59 PM - SYSTEM STATS: Time:299.4634 Method:spine Processes:1 Threads:80 Hosts:506 HostsPerProcess:506 DataSources:122726 RRDsProcessed:0
07/22/2011 09:54:59 PM - POLLER: Poller[0] Maximum runtime of 298 seconds exceeded. Exiting.

on other think for boost (5.0), I've this error :

PHP Warning: chdir(): Permission denied (errno 13) in /.../plugins/boost/poller_boost.php on line 401 [/Update]

I just did a fresh install on a fresh test server and forgot to copy the /usr/local/spine/etc/spine.conf.dist to /usr/local/spine/bin with the proper changes for my DB.

It solved my RRDsProcessed:0 problem.

Edit: Further along in my install and the RRDsProcessed:0 return in the cacti log but all the graphs show up gapless (boost in memory and image caching.

Hello andi2,

Thanks for your return, but my matter is not RRDsProcessed:0, it's normal with boost plugin.
My matter is Maximum runtime of 298 seconds exceeded. Exiting.

In my spine cacti setup all are good, path + conf.

Hello,

Just some news, the root cause seems to be spine 0.8.7h, if I replace it by spine 0.8.7g all are OK again and not so bad :

07/28/2011 03:21:40 PM - SYSTEM STATS: Time:99.4332 Method:spine Processes:1 Threads::80 Hosts:506 HostsPerProcess:506 DataSources:122726 RRDsProcessed:0

We are working on a Beta 3 right now. Should have it no later than the end of the week.

What happens when you run spine from the command line in Read Only mode? Please submit the output.

Ok if it's only this command line with option, it's not a problem, I will do it this week-end, because actually, I'm on hollidays and I've no access to my cacti server.

I will do the test for the both spine version (0.8.7g and 0.8.7h) to put the difference.
