Hello everyone,

When "h" was first released I installed it on an ubuntu 10.04 virtual machine. I recall making some minor tweaks and it's been solid ever since. I think it's been about a year? It was a long time ago. So you know when you said don't install 'h' in a production environment? it's been my production environment since I installed it.

Now i've been asked to move it from the virtual environment to a decommissioned physical server.

I installed ubuntu 10.04, same config as the virtual machine. I've copied the cacti dir to the physical server, imported the database, created the cron, user, group, confirmed permissions, etc. Some of my graphs are working....but most are not.
Did I miss something? I figure I'm really close to getting this done....so any pointers or help that could push me in the right direction would be appreciated.
durp...

DISREGARD. Found an issue with poller...

Glad to see it worked out. In the future, if you could reply to your own post instead of editing the original, it would help keep the 'view unanswered posts' queue clean.

Thanks.

After fixing poller issue (commented out in cron..) I see these errors all over cacti.log

CMDPHP: Poller[0] ERROR: A DB Exec Failed!, Error:'1062', SQL:"insert into poller_output (local_data_id, rrd_name, time, output) values (1929, 'traffic_in', '2011-09-01 13:55:02', '1716998560371')'

Could this be a read/write issue for user cacti in database cacti?

Still getting NaNs

cacti user permissions checked. I also confirmed poller_output table, fields local_data_id, etc. all exist and seem to be updating.

I'm sure the Witness will ask...so I just want you all to know, i'm researching the error code 1062
":)"
Did you reserach those mysql error codes? Should not be too hard.
R.

I guess that's not a big issue, reduced number of threads/processes. Digging deeper. I feel like a post whore today.

Sounds like your poller cache isn't clear, or there is still another poller.php running via cron

I jumped the gun my first time around troubleshooting this. After fixing the pollers, etc, I found the issue in my rrd file.

rrd_version = "0003"
step = 60
last_update = 1315414141
ds[traffic_in].type = "COUNTER"
ds[traffic_in].minimal_heartbeat = 600
ds[traffic_in].min = 0.0000000000e+00
ds[traffic_in].max = 1.0000000000e+00
ds[traffic_in].last_ds = "862011483"
ds[traffic_in].value = 9.8231864407e+03
ds[traffic_in].unknown_sec = 0
ds[traffic_out].type = "COUNTER"
ds[traffic_out].minimal_heartbeat = 600
ds[traffic_out].min = 0.0000000000e+00
ds[traffic_out].max = 1.0000000000e+00
ds[traffic_out].last_ds = "486569242"
ds[traffic_out].value = 1.3458022034e+05
ds[traffic_out].unknown_sec = 0

What does that exactly equal? I changed them to 1.0000000000e+09

Code:
sudo rrdtool tune ../rra/itdcrr1_traffic_in_2395.rrd --maximum traffic_in:1.0000000000e+09

and the graph started working properly.

But I have 1000+ rrd files that need to be modified. There must be an easier way. Any helpers?

Code:
ls *_traffic_in_*.rrd | xargs -I '{}' rrdtool tune {} --maximum traffic_in:1.0000000000e+09 --maximum traffic_out:1.0000000000e+09

worked!
