TheWitness, I appreciate your reply. Unfortunately my problem is not as simple as it shows initially.
I have reinstalled MACTRACK 2.1 from scratch and added 2 new different devices as a test 1 route and 1 switch just like you recommended in your other posts.
No matter what I do, and believe me I did reread all posts related to this topic, the router always shows as up with no other information and the switch shows as status error.
I can't even image what problem might be I'm thinking may be a cacti/linux install issue...
I have attached the cacti Techsupport log to see may be you see something unusual.
