Hi there,

Is this an expected behavior with this font? I've tried several size and it remains the same odd behavior.
# the one on the left
NODE HSRP-X6-X5_copy
LABEL XYZ Internet Vodafone
LABELFONT 101
LABELANGLE 90
POSITION 133 475

# the one on the right
NODE HSRP-X6-X5
LABEL XYZ Internet Vodafone
LABELFONT 101
LABELANGLE 90
AICONFILLCOLOR 204 230 255
LABELOUTLINECOLOR none
LABELBGCOLOR none
ICON 60 400 box
POSITION 207 574

These are a few examples of defined fonts

FONTDEFINE 100 /usr/share/cacti/plugins/weathermap/fonts/URSB.TTF 16
FONTDEFINE 101 /usr/share/cacti/plugins/weathermap/fonts/URSB.TTF 15
FONTDEFINE 102 /usr/share/cacti/plugins/weathermap/fonts/URSB.TTF 14

Of course I've tried others without any issue. Someone else had issues with this one?

Cheers,

I didn't see this before. Looks like the font metrics (character size/spacing) are broken on that font (I couldn't find it online to test). Weathermap just asks GD to draw a string, and GD just passes the request to FreeType. GD and FreeType do have some font rendering bugs between them, but not for 90 degrees, as far as I know (yes, for 89 or 91 though! :-) )
