Years ago somebody posted a script (perl I believe) that can recursively transverse all your rrd's delete the "NaN" lines. Have a snafu where for two months all my rrd files logged NaN (since fixed) but I have thousands of rrd files and each rrd has about 3400 lines which need to be deleted (i.e. if I manually do it I dump to xml, open in gvim "g/<NaN,\/v>NaN/d" and then restore it) as basically I need to delete any line which matches "<row><v>NaN</v><v>NaN</v></row>". Yes this is suboptimal but at this point I'm writing those two months data off.

Not trying to manually edit all those files and while I could drum up a perl script myself (would take me a couple hours, been years since I used any scripting language lol) I swear years ago somebody posted one on here for exactly this purpose though my search_foo is failing me.

How would that work? Asking as I don't think the problem here is a "gap", i.e. missing time frames. The problem I have is the "gap" is bad data so full of NaN's. If spike kill can kill then, walk me through it if you could.

Gap fill has a time range setting, just test in the UI.
