Hi Everybody

We are actually trying to migrate our Cacti in a Solaris 10 Zone. The zone is configured as a shared IP and sparse root zone. I would like to upgrade to actual releases but I am experiencing problems.

I tried 0.8.7c spine as well as the 0.8.7d-pre2

0.8.7d-pre2 / SVN Revision: 4988 following problem

SPINE: Poller[0] FATAL: Spine Encountered a Bus Error (Spine thread)

truss:

I configured as follows:

env LDFLAGS='-L/opt/coolstack/mysql_32bit/lib/mysql -R/opt/coolstack/mysql_32bit/lib/mysql' ./configure --prefix=/opt/cacti-spine --with-mysql=/opt/coolstack/mysql_32bit --with-snmp=/usr/sfw

But I tried also --enable-solaris-priv --enable-threadsafe-gethostbyname --enable-nifty-popen

which shows no improvement.

Is it supported to run in a zone?

Thank you for your help.

Regards

Chris

Also I tried it with spine. In vain.
Alternate you can use poller.php.
see [1] "add crontab"
