1. European Cacti Community Conference Jan, 6./7. 2007

We proudly announce the 1. European Cacti Community Conference, alias 1.CCC.eu. It will be held at Bochum, Germany on January 6.+7. 2007 if at least 5 attendees annouce their arrival. Accomodation is offered at very reasonable prices by Linux Hotel, but this is by no means a commercial event.
Registration with accommodations must be made until December, 24th 2006. Attendees without accomodation shall register until December, 31th 2006 (more details? See: attachment). Timezone is GMT+1h.

The 1. Cacti Community Conference (1.CCC.eu) will be a meeting place for the European Cacti Community

This invitation is targeted at all, who

know Cacti
support the principles of the open source software development
use Cacti in private or commercial context
are interested in using Cacti and/or want to deepen their knowledge
are developing software and are experienced in LAMP, WAMP and Cacti

Goal of the 1. Conference is,

casual discussion between attendees
to agree on future topics and goals of the CCC.eu
to learn about projects of other attendees and to discuss them
to deepen experience related to central topics
to meet with the developers (by audio conference) and discuss goals of current development
to support social networking

It is not a goal to

use the results of the conference commercially
publishing or disclosure of confidential information of attendees
founding a commercial organisation

Die Einladung ist an alle gerichtet, die

Cacti kennen
die Prinzipien der Open Source Entwicklung unterstuetzen
Cacti im privaten or kommerziellen Umfeld benutzen
an Cacti interessiert sind und/oder ihre Kenntnisse vertiefen wollen
Software entwickeln und sich mit LAMPP, WAMPP und Cacti auskennen

Ziel der 1. Conference ist,

sich im lockeren Gespraech persoenlich kennenlernen
sich ueber weitere Ziele der 1.CCC.eu unterhalten
Projekte anderer Teilnehmer kennenlernen und diskutieren
zu Schwerpunktthemen die Erfahrungen zu vertiefen
mit den Entwicklern Kontakt aufzunehmen und Entwicklungsziele zu diskutieren (Telefonkonferenz)
sich zum geselligen Zusammensein zusammentreffen

Nicht verfolgt werden sollen

die kommerzielle Verwertung der Ergebnisse der Conference in jeder Form
Veroeffentlichungen oder die Weitergabe von vertraulichen Informationen der Teilnehmer
die Bildung einer gewerblichen Organisation zu kommerziellen Zwecken

I'm proud to announce a very nice new plugin. I will show it to the cacti community exclusively at the "Cacti Community Conference".
I will call it Aggregate. Guess, what it will do ...

Ok, I'll tell you:
It's a two click aggregate-lots-of-graphs time-saver. But it will require a tiny little patch to the current plugin architecture, unfortunately

Come to Bochum and see it at work!

We strongly urge all of you to register via mail at mailto:1.CCC.eu@ostbach.de as soon as possible. We will decide to host this conference based on the Emails received at the address above until Friday, December 22th 2006 18:00 local time. This is done to make sure, that registered participants will receive their confirmation before christmas.

Wir bitten alle Interessenten sich per EMail unter mailto:1.CCC.eu@ostbach.de schnellstmoeglich zu registrieren. Am Freitag, den 22.12.2006 um 18:00 Uhr werden wir auf Basis der bis dahin eingegangenen Registrierungen entscheiden, ob die Veranstaltung wie geplant durchgefuehrt wird. Dadurch sind wir in der Lage, noch vor Weihnachten allen Interessenten eine Bestaetigung zukommen zu lassen.

We kindly inform all of you, that the 1.CCC.eu will take place as described in the link above. We will accept registration including accommodation until Sunday, 24th of December 2006. Without accommodation you may register until December, 31th 2006.
But to ease the organization, please register asap.

Wir informieren Sie hiermit, dass die 1.CCC.eu wie geplant stattfinden wird (s. Link im ersten posting). Wir werden Anmeldungen mit Uebernachtung bis zum 24.12.2006 annehmen. Ohne Uebernachtung bleibt Zeit bis zum 31.12.2006.
Um die Organisation zu vereinfachen hoffen wir auf fruehestmoegliche Anmeldung.

Oh, the meeting was fine. We will plan a second meeting that shall take place after summer holidays. Participants, ideas, comments, ... are very welcomed.

Hi all,

We had a great time over there.

Looking forward to meet again in summertime.

Will bring the wife to again, she really enjoyed the environment, maybe she can prepare the BBQ... while we are "Cacting" in the conf rooms.

I was there in spirit... and if I'd of known that a BBQ was going to be there.... actually I'd still only of been there in spirit... or Fosters.. or maybe some White Beer..

What sort of stuff was discussed then? Any major "decisions" taken?

As far as I know (I'm just on vacation

) the 2. CCC is planned for the 23/24/25 of November 2007.
I think Reinhard or Frizz are able to give some more details.
