Netscreen (Juniper) 5.0 Tunnel interface graphs

#1 Post by zomps » Fri Feb 10, 2006 2:55 am

Here are my quick netscreen intreface graphs.
netscreen_tunnel_interface.xml goes into cacti/resources/snmp_queries
and import cacti_data_query_netscreen_tunnel_interface.xml.
I cannot provide much support, because it is my first try to create graphs
and it doesn't work on my second cacti setup

Now this is what I've been looking for :D Great!

Is it possible to have bits instead of bytes?

I've just used zomps's data query, plus the standard Interface bits/sec graph template to make my own frankentemplate. Netscreen VPN Tunnels, with bits/sec.

This is my first go at exporting these things, so be gentle. I think you'll need zomps's netscreen_tunnel_interface.xml still.

Weathermap 0.98a is out! & QuickTree 1.0. Superlinks is over there now (and built-in to Cacti 1.x).
Some Other Cacti tweaks, including strip-graphs, icons and snmp/netflow stuff.
(Let me know if you have UK DevOps or Network Ops opportunities, too!)

Cool name, Frankentemplate :D Anyway, I get Unmet Dependency: (Data Template Item) when I import it. Any idea what's wrong? I'm on 0.8.6j

Hello community,

same thing here, I have unmet dependencies when trying to import the graph template.

I finally get stuck with a graph with bytes instead of bites.

Could someone re-export the template properly please ?

Thanks all.

You can change the CDEF Function of each graph template item from "None" to "Turn Bytes into Bits". Change the Vertical Label to "bits per second". The next part it a bit of a hack, as well... Change the name of the "Associated Graph/Data Templates" from In/Out Bytes to In/Out Bits.

The data will still be collected in the form of bytes/sec, but it will show up on the graph as bits/sec due to the CDEF. I know it's a hack, but I needed something quick.

I also noticed one of the data source items had "Use Per-Data Source Value (Ignore this Value)" checked. I unchecked it, as it seems to have been checked by mistake.
Thanks,
nebj00la
