Only one post earlier is describing Windows installation steps. Your problem can be probably solved by:
Quote:
Move all MIB files from c:\php\mibs to c:\usr\mibs

Can you please read the guidelines I mentioned before ( http://www.raxnet.net/board/viewtopic.php?t=534 )? All the answers are inside.

Sheesh, talk about an old post.

1) Read my installation guide in my signature
2) Have you specified the MIBDIRS system variable?
3) have you restarted your server? Often its needed to globally update the system variables

Unfortunately I'm getting the same problem and I've read the installation guide!
If I run snmptranslate -IR -Td IF-MIB::linkDown as per the instructions I get the following....
Code:
No log handling enabled - turning on stderr logging
Cannot find module (IP-MIB): At line 1 in (none)
Cannot find module (IF-MIB): At line 1 in (none)
Cannot find module (TCP-MIB): At line 1 in (none)
Cannot find module (UDP-MIB): At line 1 in (none)
Unlinked OID in HOST-RESOURCES-MIB: host ::= { mib-2 25 }
Undefined identifier: mib-2 near line 9 of c:\usr\mibs/hostmib.mib
Cannot find module (SNMPv2-MIB): At line 1 in (none)
Cannot find module (NOTIFICATION-LOG-MIB): At line 1 in (none)
Cannot find module (UCD-SNMP-MIB): At line 1 in (none)
Cannot find module (UCD-DEMO-MIB): At line 1 in (none)
Cannot find module (SNMP-TARGET-MIB): At line 1 in (none)
Cannot find module (NET-SNMP-AGENT-MIB): At line 1 in (none)
Cannot find module (DISMAN-EVENT-MIB): At line 1 in (none)
Cannot find module (SNMP-VIEW-BASED-ACM-MIB): At line 1 in (none)
Cannot find module (SNMP-COMMUNITY-MIB): At line 1 in (none)
Cannot find module (UCD-DLMOD-MIB): At line 1 in (none)
Cannot find module (SNMP-FRAMEWORK-MIB): At line 1 in (none)
Cannot find module (SNMP-MPD-MIB): At line 1 in (none)
Cannot find module (SNMP-USER-BASED-SM-MIB): At line 1 in (none)
Cannot find module (SNMP-NOTIFICATION-MIB): At line 1 in (none)
Cannot find module (SNMPv2-TM): At line 1 in (none)
Cannot find module (IF-MIB): At line 1 in (none)
Unknown object identifier: IF-MIB::linkDown

However a quick look shows it is looking for ip-mib, if-mib etc but those files don't exist (anywhere) on the hard drive.
The following mib files exist in c:\usr\mibs which is what my mibsdir is set to.
accserv.mib
authserv.mib
dhcp.mib
ftp.mib
hostmib.mib
http.mib
inetsrv.mib
ipforwd.mib
lmmib2.mib
mcastmib.mib
mib_ii.mib
mipx.mib
mripsap.mib
msft.mib
msipbtp.mib
msiprip2.mib
nipx.mib
smi.mib
wfospf.mib
wins.mib

Any more ideas?

Please read the installation guide from my signature.

You also need to point your mibdirs variable to the php directory (per the installation guide), as you're missing several critical MIB files. Although the whole thing is really moot since Cacti does not use MIB files....
