I wrote this perl script to get the fan RPMs from our Dell PowerEdge 2650s which have 4 fans, and are labeled Fan1, Fan2, Fan4, and Fan7.

I'm a first time user of Cacti, so enjoy.

Perl script takes two parameters, <hostname> and <snmp_community>

I have no screenshot because for some reason although it's calling update with all 4 parameters, it's only storing Fan 1. If you have any suggestions, shoot em my way. I'm sure I probably just have to rebuild the device in Cacti or something.

Forgot to mention you must have the Dell Open Manage Server Administrator (OMSA) software installed on your Dell machines to retrieve these values.

The newest version of OMSA (3.8 or newer I believe) also has performance data in the WMI including redundancy status on applicable hardware.

Yes - if you install Linux version of Dell OpenManage

Hi DevilSun,
I changed the templates for the 2950 models from Dell.
I am attaching the script and templates.
I would like your permission to disclose my personal site also, you have to put some mail in the script and give credit to you?
