Guess I should have elaborated...before the 1.5 update, I was getting nothing at all.

Script + Cactid + Boost = No Graph Updates

Hey folks, I have a simple perl script that telnets into a 7206VXR (and ESR) and collects the output from "show caller summary" and parses it into connected PPPoE, PPPoA, and PPPoVPDN. The script outputs all 3 data points #!/usr/bin/perl use Net::Telnet; my $ip = $ARGV[0]; my $user = "user"; my $pas...

It looks like this may be working a bit better. I don't see gaps in my graphs at the time I "accessed" them via the web. Next step is to move my rra's to a faster hard drive...this 7200 RPM thing just isn't cutting it :) tty ad4 ad6 cpu tin tout KB/t tps MB/s KB/t tps MB/s us ni sy in id 0 30 0.00 0...

Webserver helps with Data Loss

My particular setup is as follows: I have a server with the rra directory exported via NFS. This server is responsible for all RRD updates. The "poller" mounts the rra directory via NFS as does the web server. Since for some reason my system just isn't speedy enough to keep up with the size of my po...

OIDs Per SNMP Get Request

I was seeing this exact same thing on various platforms...Netscaler, SonicWall iNOC, Foundry ServerIrons, and yes...CatOS... My fix was to keep backing down my OIDs per SNMP Get Request until they all vanished. Now I run the following: Concurrent Processes: 4 Max Threads: 15 PHP Script Servers: 4 Ti...

Updated the add_tree.php to include the --list-trees and --tree-id [ID] --list-nodes options. I'm not an expert with patching, so not sure if this will work on all systems so please backup your original. apply by copying the code below to a patch file...for instance add_tree.patch. Then from the dir...

Include more data...

If you use the following in your rrd.php you can add not only the host_* variables, but all snmp_queries as well. At line 1035ish replace: $txt_graph_items .= $graph_item_types{$graph_item["graph_type_id"]} . ":\"" . str_replace(":", "\:", $graph_variables["text_format"][$graph_item_id]) . $hardretu...
