That would help for sure. But you can deactivate walking completly. too. Set this parameter to 1 or 0 to deactivate snmp-walking. This advice is correct but applies to "latest" cacti only Reinhard Hi Gandalf, I think you missed on this one. We're after the ability to specify on a per-host basis to ...

Host Polling Interleaving

Hi All, We have an appliance that falls over if we query it for too many SNMP OID's at once. At the moment this is causing us an issue with Cacti because we can't limit/restrict the amount of queries that this individual host see's at once per poller. Does anyone know of a good way to limit the amou...

Re: NUT UPS Script

Fert wrote:Hi. I'v configured NUT, the script works, but the template you gave is something else.
Are you running it on tCacti 0.86j as that's what it was exported from and is the only version I've tested it on.

Please try "Nth Percentile" of http://docs.cacti.net/node/525 Reinhard Hi Reinhard, So, I think I got this working using a HRULE of; |HRULE: |99:bits:0:aggregate_max:2| This is not ideal though as it doesn't give me the 100% figure. Is there another way to achieve this? Also, we poll per minute and...

Plotting Maximum Value Seen over a given period

Hi Group, I'm looking to size one of our internet connections properly and need to know the maximum figures that have been recorded over the selected period; In this case the image below indicates what I would want, by looking at a given sample (in this case 1 day) I'd like to have a line plotted sh...

I edited your doc to graph the memory used by the routing table. When I import the edited .xml into cacti it removes the .xml file you have for routing table. Is there something in the .xml file that tells cacti that both .xml files are the same and not unique?? Just asking. Cacti does have a hash ...

I'm not giving you any money but this will be the second good sized corporate where I've deployed Cacti. Fantastic tool to work with, easy to install and configure (once you've got your head around it).

Keep up the good work, I'm looking forward to the new releases.

Route Table size from a Cisco Router

=== Script provided as-is without support === These scripts and templates should allow you to get the route table size from your Cisco router. These templates were from Cacti 0.8.6j , I don't expect it to work with any other version so don't ask me. Also, our system uses the 1 minute poller patch so...

Plotting 'MAX' value on the graphs

All, We have a graph that monitors bandwidth. Due to sizing of that connection we want to plot the MAX value on the graph so that we can see historically what level our usage has peaked at. I've tried adding a new graph line with just the 'MAX' value selected though this fails. Any input I can get t...

Re: Data Query to get the Route Table

Hey, I find it very useful, but don't try to get this data from a Full Routing BGP device because it will time-out, it is too heavy even for the 9th wonder of the world If anyone is after BGP table sizes then drop me a note, I've put one together to query Cisco/Foundry devices using expect-ssh and ...

NUT UPS Script

My first template. This I used to monitor an APC Back UPS ES 700 . Configure NUT on the system you have connected to your UPS (This link may help: http://www.mscs.dal.ca/~selinger/ups/backups.html ) For this to work you will need to have the NUT utility installed on your Cacti server. Once you have ...
