Re: New to Cacti, Need help with research.

Nagios uses MySQL but cacti has it's own database owing to different tables and fields.
There is a CactiEZCD put together by Cigamit which is ready to run if this helps.

Re: New to Cacti, Need help with research.

Hi - see below 1. We currently use nagios. Nagios has some graphing features. However, over all our customers are not happy with it. We believe that Nagios and Cacti uses RRDtools. That being the case is there a way to get cacti to use the nagios database to draw cacti graphs? Yes - see here http://...

Re: New skin

I'd very much like to see this skin available for download. Cacti is a superb and extremely powerful system, but the interface looks slightly....well, "dated" (not wanting to cause offence to the DEV's :D ) Would also love to hear from the DEV guys if theming will be supported going forward ? Thanks

Re: 2 must-have GUI Improvements

Very nice !

However, you'd also need to make this change for each "general_header.php" file in use for all your plugins, too :D

Re: Netflow plugin

This plugin looks like it has some real potential, although I can't see any real integration with Cacti as such. By this, I mean no hooks to existing devices etc - unless I am missing something ?

Would be happy to be a tester for this.

Re: Separate THOLD Poller?

The problem here is that THOLD uses the poller_output table, which is populated on the fly when the poller runs. THOLD used to read the RRD values, although this turned out to be very slow, hence the above method. I doubt that decoupling is possible owing to this - I could be wrong however. A questi...

Have a look at the REPORTIT plugin - this will do what you are looking for, and a lot more.

Please use the debugging instructions in my sig and report back with your findings.
Thanks, but as a seasoned Cacti user, I've already completed these steps :)

Re: Poller Crashing

Hi Thomas. Thanks for the help. Much appreciated - see below I guess you already tested the SQL statement that is reported in the mysql cli, right ? Yes - first thing I tried. Oddly enough, it works fine from both command line and phpmyadmin Maybe you're mysql connections/sessions are full so increa...

Re: CaMM (Cacti Message Management) plugin v1.6.7 2010-08-26

Hi. We are running cacti v0.8.7g and we have installed camm v1.6.7 plugin in order to use only syslog part. Well, all seems to work fine, but we noticed when we try to click on Ip addresses on left tree pannel, sometimes nothing happens. Taking a view to Cacti log, the following message is logged w...
