Re: Controlling Max-Repetitions

BTW, cmd.php does not use BULK operations at all. It uses single OID GET queries only. Yep, it was the "Verbose Query" and "Reindexing" that broke. Both are quite important to get a Data Query running. So I fear. that not being able to control that, we are loosing some devices that do not like bulk...

Re: Controlling Max-Repetitions

Huh. There is even a bug report (with patch :)) introducing OO SNMP API for Cacti:

Re: Controlling Max-Repetitions

You are partially correct. Prior to 5.4 php-snmp has max-repetitions hardcoded indeed. PHP 5.4 has new OO SNMP API that is able to control it as a session parameter and/or per query:

Re: [HOWTO] Cacti's setup for really BIG environments

You have only LAN device (~ 1ms in ping latency) or did you have WAN device on your poll (> 100 ms in ping latency) ? It does not matter actually if you have you spine patched properly and configured to saturate MySQL. My spine (128 threads max, 20 OID per query, data_rate=30k) runtime is around 70...

Re: Count Items

Is there a way to call cacti-snmp-walk to force cacti-snmp-walk to use NET-SNMP or UCD-SNMP? There is a better way I think. You can compile php-snmp code from php svn trunk (php-snmp in trunk is backwards compatible downto php5.2), install my cummulative patch and add one line to cacti_snmp_session...

Re: Count Items

the OIDs the device use are non-ascending. Do you mean you need to set -Cc for snmpwalk command in order to get all results from subtree? As for "number of rows returned". Basically Cacti poller currently has no ability to count OID number in some subtree: this may be rather expensive for poller. B...

Re: [HOWTO] Cacti's setup for really BIG environments

I view this tweak for observium, maybe useful/useless in cacti ???? As far as I can see there are two tweaks in quotation. First is to use xcache, php bytecode cacher. It will be userful when you have a lot of queries to your server. Second seems to be specific to observium. So basically these twea...
Hello everyone.
Is it possible to use only one Boost's feature - to cahe PNGs?

Thank you.
Set "Maximum Records" lower than your DS items count and that will force Boost to flush RRD after each polling interval (if it will cope with this).
