The lightbulb just came on in my head, somehow I managed to make the rrd files as root and hence any automated poller activity got dumped. duh!

I am having the same problem with a fedora core 4 setup. SNMP collection works fine for my ethernet interface, but not for CPU. I checked and even rebuilt the data sources and graph by hand just to make sure everything was right. No errors come from my poller, I am not using cactid. I know the SNMP ...

Cannot set Lower Limit

I have a graph that i want to lock the Y axis on, to 40-100. I have the lower set to 40 and upper to 100, and autoscale is off. The graph comes out with a 0-100 Y axis. Here is the RRD gen. Sorry if this is a dumb/easy question but i searched and only turned up every single person posting their RRD ...

Nice work. It should be noted that the OIDs you have the 'thresholds' pointing to are the alarm high/low points, which can actually be nonexistent (return 0) if the alarm is disabled. If you see this behavior, that's why. I am working on a way for it to display the +/- tolerance which is the more co...

Liebert GXT2U with newest card

This template works with GXT2U and Nfinity UPS' with the newest (OCWEB) card. Here is my save of your template, corrected to work with a GXT2U and the current network card. I have never worked with templates like this before so if anyone can test it and provide feedback that would be great. edit/up...

*blank stare*

Okay, what I meant to ask was, How can I do this without having to edit every single graph by hand? I've never had a 'problem' making this work, I have only had a problem making it work like it should, as in the template will work for ANY host without having to monkey with the specific settings. It ...

right-o

Youre correct in thinking that the 'stack' of this data misrepresents it. There are a few occasions in cacti where the defaults do not do justice to the actual data. Simply changing the 5 and 15 min data displays from 'stack' to 'line1' or 'line2' in the graph template will take care of the issue, y...

back to the original problem

Disabling autoscale means that each graph will have to be hand-scaled, which is the problem i was trying to avoid with overlaying the percentage graph.... I'm working with the prefab ucd/net HD Space graph to do this. Is there any way to get it to scale automatically *and* have a max value to use fo...

CURRENT_GRAPH_MAXIMUM_VALUE ??

The CURRENT_GRAPH_MAXIMUM_VALUE variables contains this data, only if you put it into the "Upper Limit" field of your graph. -Ian I dont want to seem naive but what the hex does that mean? I tried using the "Graph: Upper Limit" option which puts that CGMV variable into the CDEF, but it acted like i...

Still no good...

What i'm looking for exactly is a variable that contains the height of the graph in data units, in this case its 1.6 billion, the size of a partition. That will let me figure how the other data will have to be scaled. Is there no variable that has this information?

Overlaying Percentage

I couldn't find this detailed anywhere, and have spent a good bit of time trying to wrestle cacti into doing it. Basically, I need to include the Inode data from the ucd-snmp query in the graph of hard disk utilization, and this number only comes in % form, 0-100. I have attempted to make a cdef to ...
